අප පැමිණි ගමන් මඟ/ The way we came

බස්නාහිර පළාතේ ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර කලාප කාර්යාලයේ මහරගම අධ්‍යාපන කොට්ඨාශයට අයත් අප පාසල මහරගම නගරයේ පිහිටා ඇත. 1937 ජූලි මස 20 වන දින ගොඩිගමුවේ පාසල් ගුරුවරියකගේ නිවසක කුඩා කාමරයක පරම විද්‍යාර්ථ බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ ගරු සභාපති ආචාර්ය ඊ. ඩබ්ලිව්. අදිකාරම්තුමා ප්‍රථම ලොග් සටහන තැබීමෙන් සිසුන් දහතුන් දෙනෙකුගෙන් පාසල ආරම්භ වී ඇත.

Our school is located in Maharagama town, belonging to Maharagama Education Division of Sri Jayawardenepura Zonal Office in Western Province. On July 20, 1937, in a small room of a school teacher's house in Godigamuwa, Honorary President of Parama Vidyartha Buddhist Association, Dr. E. W. The school has started with thirteen students since the Principal made the first log entry.

The first principal was Professor K. Mr. Jinadasa has found. Due to the increase in the number of students, Vidyakara was established where it is today due to half an acre of land donated by Pujyapada Kudiruppuwe Revata Thero, who worked as Vipashyaramadhipati at that time.

1978 එය මිශ්‍ර පාසලක් ලෙස ඇරඹි රජයේ පාසලක් බවට ක්‍රම ක්‍රමයෙන් සංවර්ධනය වෙමින් පැවත ඇත. මැයි මාසයේදී විද්‍යාලයෙන් ප්‍රාථමික පන්ති කිහිපයක් ඉවත් කොට මහරගම තවත් විද්‍යාලයක් ආරම්භ කොට ඇත. 1984 සියළුම පිරිමි දරුවන් එම විද්‍යාලයට අනුයුක්ත කොට ඇති අතර එම විද්‍යාලය වන්නේ මහරගම ජනාධිපති විද්‍යාලයයි. එසේම අඹගහපුර මානවසිංහ විදුහල ආරම්භ වී ඇත්තේ ද එපරිද්දෙනි.

It started as a mixed school in 1978 and gradually developed into a government school. In May, several primary classes were removed from the college and another college was started in Maharagama. In 1984, all boys were assigned to that college and that college was Maharagama President College. Similarly, Ambagahapura Manavasinghe College was started in the same way

ඉක්බිති විද්යාකර බාලිකා විද්යාලය ලෙස වර්ධනය වූ විට ව්දුකරය 1995 නවෝද්‍යා පාසලක් බවට පත්විය. අද දින වන විට විදුහල්පතිතුමන් හා තුමියන් 18 දෙනෙකුගේ පරිපාලනයට හා අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ විද්‍යාකර බාලිකා නවෝද්‍යා විද්‍යාලයේ දැයේ දරුවන්ගේ නැණ නුවණ වඩාලූ අධ්‍යාපන කේන්ද්‍රස්ථානයක් බවට පත් විය.

විද්‍යාකර බාලිකා විද්‍යාලය වසා දැමීමට ආසන්න ව තිබූ නීලම්මහර ධම්මාලෝක විද්‍යාලය ඒකාබදද කර ගන්නා ලදී.

Later, when Vidyakara girls' college developed, Vidyakara became a Navodya school in 1995. As of today, under the administration and supervision of the principal and 18 women, Vidyakara Girls Navodya Vidyalaya has become an educational center for the wisdom of children.

Neelammahara Dhammaloka Vidyalaya, which was about to be closed, was also annexed to Vidyakara Girls' College.

විද්‍යාකර බාලිකාවන් ඇතුළත් පන්ති තුනකින් ඇරඹි විද්‍යාකර ප්‍රාථමික ද අද ඉතාමත් සිත් ගන්නා සුළු ප්‍රාථමික පාසලක් බවට පත්ව ඇත්තේය.

Vidyakara Primary, which started with three classes of girls, has become a very interesting primary school today.

1 ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට 11 ශ්‍රේණිය දක්වා සමාන්තර පන්ති 7 බැගින් වූ පන්ති සංඛ්‍යාවක් පවතින අතර 6 ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට 11 ශ්‍රේණිය දක්වා දී භාෂා මාධ්‍යයෙන් ඉගෙනීම සඳහා සිසුන්ට අවස්ථාව සලසා දී ඇත. එලෙසම අප පාසලේ උසස් පෙළ තාක්ෂණික විෂය ධාරාව හැර අනෙකුත් විද්‍යා, කලා, වාණිජ විෂය ධාරාවන් ගෙන් සමන්විත 1ඒබී පාසලකි. තවද මෑත කාලයේ දී අප පාසල ජාතික පාසල් දහසේ වැඩසටහන සඳහා යෝජනා වූ පාසලක් බවට පත්වී ඇති බවද සතුටින් දන්වා සිටිමු.

From grade 1 to grade 11 there are 7 parallel classes each and from grade 6 to grade 11 students are provided with the opportunity to learn through language medium. In the same way, our school is a 1AB school which consists of science, arts and commerce streams other than the high level technical stream. We are also happy to inform that our school has recently become a proposed school for the National Thousand Schools Program.
